Friday Friday Friday.
This week i have been a bit of a recluse, BLAME the last week before payday. Boo!!
I did however manage a couple catch up's with Schmoo and saw my little brother a LOT. Also bought him a present, which he'll get in due course. Saw Have Heart's last tour, except Pat wasn't singing for them which was sucky, but Steve still did a quality job of actually putting the show together so snaps for Steve.


The things keeping me sane this week,

Have Heart show, Cocktail catch-ups, "it was so cute when you were pretending to have willpower", Filthy conversations with Dayna, Prada pop-up shop, Sale shopping, Date night, Alexi Murdoch, Doing my 'Baby Got Back' booty shake in the Co-op aisles for Boyhalf's amusement, Meeting the little brother's new lady (she's fabulous FYI), 8-Bit Weezer covers, Being complimented on my style by strangers, Kirsty Allie's Twitter updates, 'stuff you will hate', Putting the final touches to "Operation Rabbit Hole" (NOT a euphamism) which should hopefully be launching next month!, Moustache sticks, The neon ring Miss V gave me that is now around my neck, Scar-Jo as a redhead.

It feels like forever since a catch up and i feel like i'm missing several important organs.

Things i love Friday!

This week i've mostly done nothing, which is actually kinda nice, spent a lot of time with Boyhalf catching up on recorded TV and cuddles, LOTS of cuddles.

Excitment abound though, photographer Massimo Gammacurta created these A-DORABLE fashion lollypops as the perfect thing to keep you occupied front row at fashion week. Now if there's one thing that can compete for my affections against fashion, it's candy.

Apparently they come in Louis Vuitton Watermelon, Gucci Pomegranate, Yves Saint Laurent Caramel and Cherry and Chanel Apple and Lilac.

I always said i had a taste for high fashion.

Things i Love Friday!

This week i enjoyed work for the first time in what feels like forever. I've been working in a different department and it's been really busy and fun and i just feel like this is something i can really see myself doing. Luckily next week i'll be super busy since the other CO is off on holiday. So maybe it isn't all so bad after all.

Just found out Boyhalf's friend invited us to his wedding reception in September so i've been dress hunting like nothing on earth. It's an excuse (not that i ever need one) to buy a really lovely dress that's a little more expensive than i'm usually comfortable with. I have a few i'm thinking about but i'm trying really hard not to relive Ben's wedding when i was informed i looked like a stripper. BAD TIMES.

I think i fell out with RB but i'm not sure since he texted me late last night to tell me he's coming out this weekend. I don't like falling out with people who make me smile, it's never fun. Let's hope we're close enough for it not to count. *fingers officially crossed*.

Things i love Friday

This week i've had such a lovely time. I like when you get some time off to play and catch up with the people in your life. Tonight my girl Jamielee is back from Ibiza and i have missed her quite a bit so we're doing a little get together at her and V's pad (which is actually now Jamie, V AND Dibble's pad).
Last night i was told i should seriously consider being a writer, all because a text message i sent about Jabba and the Whale Rider, which was apparently hilarious. It's something i always wanted as a kid and after keeping up with this blog so well and knowing there are really people who actually read what i say is a real compliment. I like being told i'm funny, it's what a value most. Above being told i'm pretty or smart or anything else. Funny is where i get my kicks.

So once again let's hear it for the honourable mentions....

Things i love Friday.

This week since i've been a sick pup i've spent much more time than usual on my laptop surfing the interwebs and a whole lot more time playing vintage video games. That's right folks the Boyhalf gots me a SNES (like i needed ANY more reasons to love him). S we've spent a whole lotta time this week sitting playing Mario Allstars and taking turn about. He doesn't mind when i get all pouty when i die straight away and want another go and it's mad cute when he tells me he'll "show me how it's done" then fails miserably. I say it often but i'll say it again.. KEE-PER.
He doesn't even mind me constantly quoting the Mario movie even though i know he finds it horrendous i've even seen it enough to quote it.

Forever love.
Plus he digs my mexican accent when i read out stuff on screen.

I can't really go through without obviously mentioning the passing of Michael Jackson. Incredible songwriter and he really does stand above the rest when it comes to how many people he has influenced through the years. Obviously there is a hideous amount of controversy surrounding him but that doesn't mean, in my eyes, he shouldn't still be missed as an artist.
Farrah Fawcett's passing has also saddened me and i still haven't plucked up the courage to watch Ryan O Neils statement as i'll cry like a baby like i did with Liam Neeson's statement about his wife. Farrah was one of the most beautiful women ever and she will also be sadly missed.

Things i love (and not so much) Friday.

Yay for another quick week. I think since i've kept busy i've barely noticed time pass. Spent time with Jamielee this week, and twice this week i've cooked mouth orgasm inducing dinners, Fajitas for Jamielee and Macaroni for Boyhalf, not exactly difficult dishes to master, i am aware, but nonetheless i was proud and the recievers were most happy. I think from now on unless it's something i'm super into i'm just going to do honourable mentions every week for Things I Love Friday. I don't have a lot of time on Fridays to write and, while i'm aware i could have Things I Love Saturday, it doesn't have the same ring to it.
I'm also using this as a platform (pun intended) to discuss these shoes.

Things I Love Friday!

Wow, this week passed super quick huh? GOOD TIMES.
Payday came and went yesterday in a flurry of me flashing my cash so i'm pretty sure i'll be skint in a week. I really must learn to budget.
Tonight is my little brother's sixth birthday which means cake, bouncy castles and star wars. After that i have Vic's twenty-faux birthday (she's turning 25, but we'll pretend she's forever young) so that'll include drunk, drunk and a little thing i like to call DRUNK.
Winner.

Wasabi Peanut Crackers.
I have not felt love like this. Seriously. Oh man. So for months now i've been doing this Graze thing. They like send you a lunch of fruit and natural goodness in a cute little box and it's full of yummy goodness to keep me chipper through the day, in one of my first boxes i got these Wasabi peanuts, and i was a little dubious until i tried them, straight after, i was hooked. They're like crack to me. It's 10:11am and my fire nuts for today are already gone. Oops. Word of advice though, don't rub your nose after, bad idea.

Chuck Bass.
Ok so this is in no way a new thing. My Charles Bartholomew Bass obsession has pretty much been a long standing love affair. What is it about me and getting all doe-eyed over posh boys? Chuck Bass, if you actually look at the facts is actually a total Mother Chucker. Sleeps around, tries to force himself on Little J and Serena and messes B around, yet everytime he spouts his trademark "I'm Chuck Bass" line i feel a little girlish swoon take over. He's like the kind of guy that would take a call while you're at it and complain about your technique to whoever was on the line (not my technique mind). I swear i have issues. Oh and the actor Ed Westwick, his real accent seriously makes my knees like jelly everytime. Hi, hot english boy? Where have you been all my life?

Lady Sovereign's Comeback.
Someone else i've loved for a long time is back after her breakdown and girlfriend got her hairs did. She just released her new single 'So Human' which features a sample of The Cure's 'Close To Me', which proves she's got taste. What i'm loving though is this other song with a warrior's tribute in the video for 'I Got You Dancing'. Even though she is fully sporting the Jennifer Grey look in parts of this video her new hairstyle is lovely and my girl crush on the S.O.V has been restored. World Rejoices.

Things i LOVE this Friday

Yay for Friday !! Thank goodness. This week has fully like hardcore beaten me. Months like this make a girl like me sadfaced. Funds have been seriously lacking these past weeks (mainly due to my wonderful spending habits catching up to me) but the boyhalf has been wonderful.
That one is truely a keeper.
One day maybe i'll write about it.

But for now it's things i love Friday and i'm feeling excitable.



WhiteBoy Hip Hop.
So shoot me ! I've never kept it a secret that i like rap music. Not a lot of it mind, but i do seem to know the words to far too many songs to call it a casual habit. I'm a straight up addict. Catch me not even dropping a beat during Straight Outta Compton and you might think ok, this girls got skills, but most of my friends know by now, if a rap song comes on somewhere, and i've had a few, i'll be throwing my gang signs and waxing lyrical without stopping for breath. What can i say. I'm ghetto on the inside Fo' Shizz.
But the music i'm talking about isn't Snoop and Dre and it isn't even The Beastie Boys (although those boys hold a special place in my little gangster heart). No what i'm into lately are guys like Mickey Avalon, Dyslexic Speedreaders and 30h!3, these boys and their catchy beats and fucking hilarious lyrics are what makes my ipod click these days for sure. Mickey Avalon is also an ex heroin addicted rent boy, which already makes him infinately more badass than you, and for that...mad props.

Scarlett Johansson's Voice.

If you haven't yet heard Scar Jo's Tom Wait's covers i suggest you get your butt on it. Her cover of Falling Down is just amazing. Her speaking voice in itself is pretty stellar, that throaty 'too much booze and fags' drawl is so distinct and sexy. Jealous? Moi? No matter that she sends men into a veritable flurry and is married to one of the guys i would fully take to the bone zone. or that she actually made boyhalf's head hurt when he tried to work out if he'd rather bang her or Blair Waldorf (his chances on either are pretty slim, but we're keeping the dream alive), but damn girlfriend can sing too? Well sing in the sense that she kills on record but i probably wouldn't want to hear it live. But still, another point to Mrs Ryan Reynolds for outshining every other actor turned rock star (I'm looking at you Leto).

Maybe it's a little wrong but sheesh, if you don't want me to leech your Wi-Fi then secure it. I can't remember the log-in details for our secured network so i use your unsecurced one instead and yes the legality (and morality) of the situation is murky at best but fuck it, put a password on your access and my career as an internet super villain will be over, and i'll have to actually bother to use my own. Besides, im not a bad piggybacker, i don't download anything really and i'm not really on at peak times slowing up your connection. So i'm sorry mister downstairs, but since you stink up the hallway with your pot smoke, i think we can call this one even stevens?
